Dr. Morgan M. Trexler is the research program area manager in APL’s Research and Exploratory Development Mission Area. In this capacity, she oversees the strategy, execution, and transition of research in materials, biological, and chemical sciences. She previously served as program manager for Science of Extreme and Multifunctional Materials, where she led a diverse and expansive portfolio of research projects focused on developing new capabilities for extreme environment applications. Dr. Trexler serves on the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute executive committee, the Maryland Science Center’s Science Council, and the National Academies’ Standing Committee for Defense Materials, Manufacturing, and its Infrastructure (DMMI), which focuses on the advancement of materials science and engineering, manufacturing, and the infrastructure issues related to materials science and manufacturing in the national interest.
